ABOUT ROBOCON

Robocon (short for Robotics Contest) is organised by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Unit (ABU), a collection of over 20 countries in the Asia Pacific Region.NHK,Japan have been collectively organising such contests at the national level and also became the host of the first ABU Robocon in 2002. Since then, every year one of the member broadcasters hosts the international event Robocon India 2009 View of Arena.

UNDERSTANDING ROBOCON

The broadcasters of each participant country are responsible for the code of conduct of their national contests to select the team which will represent the country in the international contest. Teams from Engineering and Technical colleges from across the country are eligible to participate. Participating teams are expected to design and fabricate their own robots and organize the teams including an Instructor, Team Leader, Manual Robot Operator and a Automatic Robot Operator.

The Team has shown excellent performance in the recent years in the Robocon Event. It made a good debut securing 5th position among 24 new teams in Robocon 2013. It stood 22nd out of 100 teams in the consecutive year. In 2016, we stood 20th out of 110 teams and were also awarded with a Best Rookie Award. In 2018 it was the 2nd best team in Southern India and the 3rd best team in Southern India in 2019.
